Confirmation Process

Confirmation is a process by which people re-affirm the vows made by their parents or themselves at their baptism. It is an experience ... a time found within our faith walk. It is a time where take a close look at our faith and relationship, God and our church. It is a time to explore more about who we are as Christians.

It is an intensive two year faith study geared primarily toward the seventh and eighth grade classes, but can be adapted to meet the needs of those in high school or adults. There are many facets that are studied including the Bible (both Old and New Testaments), prayer, Luther's Small Catechism (including the Lord's Prayer, the 10 Commandments, Apostle's Creed, Baptism, Communion, Office of the Keys), worship life in the church, the meaning of the birth, the cross and the resurrection learning about God's grace. Materials used include Faith Incubators, A Journal for Confirmands, and other materials. Additional activities have included feeding the homeless, visiting missions, and activities which promote fellowship and a deeper understanding of God, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We cordially invite you to join us.
